At Zipcar we love small businesses, so ahead of this year’s Small Business Saturday on 6th December we wanted to take some time out to tell you all about one of our fantastic Zipcar for Business accounts, The Troubadour.

The Troubadour is a café/restaurant/bar/live music venue in Earls Court. Established in 1954, it has various claims to fame; Private Eye was first written and distributed here, Bob Dylan held his first London performance at The Troubadour, and Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin and Elvis Costello have all performed at the venue, as well as true Zipcar superstar and ex-employee Milly Blue.

Susie and Simon are the third owners and run the Café from 9am-midnight, 7 days a week. They also have a wine shop, wine bar and gallery used for exhibitions and private viewings, as well as everything from drinks and dinner parties to yoga and writing workshops!

Definitely a place that can keep secrets, they hosted a secret gig for Ronnie Wood in 2013 as a warm up for his Royal Albert Hall appearance in November.

True Zipcar advocates, Susie and the team use the service regularly to help them run the venue. From stock runs to the cash and carry, visits to specialist shops and fetching supplies for private parties or gigs, they make full use of the wide range of vehicles available to them.

We also know from first-hand experience that they host amazing nights out!
