Cheap car sharing in Southwark – The Alternative to Car Hire

Cheap car sharing in Southwark – The Alternative to Car Hire

As one of London’s oldest boroughs, Southwark is vibrant and varied. There’s plenty to do whether you want to visit world famous cultural attractions, shop, do your favourite sports or explore some of the borough’s green spaces.

If you want to explore some of the borough’s highlights or venture further afield, you might be considering renting a car, which sometimes can be fairly time consuming. Even worse, pick up and drop off points aren’t always in the most convenient locations, especially if you need to co-ordinate your journey with public transport. Car sharing through a car club is a much more flexible alternative, which can also be cheaper than traditional car hire and ownership.

Where to rent a Zipcar

You’re never far from a Zipcar in Southwark, as we spread our vehicles throughout each neighbourhood. This means that from Bermondsey to Peckham Rye, you can always find a car quickly and easily.

There are plenty of cars within a few minutes walk from anywhere in Southwark or Borough, including some close to London Bridge train station. Further east, we have clusters of cars in Bermondsey, Canada Water and Surrey Quays, ideally situated if you want to escape the city at the weekend or take advantage of the Surrey Quays shopping centre.

Going south, our Elephant & Castle cars are in easy walking distance of the Tube station, close to the A3. In Camberwell, all our cars are close to Brunswick Park, perfect to easily get onto the A202. Our cars in Peckham are centred around the Peckham Rye station, with cars available on both sides of the tracks, giving convenient access to either the A202 or the A2214.

Once you’ve picked your car, getting going is simple. You just book the car through our website or app, find it on the street and unlock it with your membership card. Insurance, fuel and up to 60 miles free is included with each rental too, to make it even easier.
