Thursday 31st July proved to be an exciting and experimental evening for Zipcar UK, as we hosted our first ever member dinner in partnership with Grub Club. We invited members from the local community of Stoke Newington to come together to eat great food, fine wine and share some stories, instead of cars for once!
Located in the heart of trendy Stoke Newington, Nar Café and Bistro owner Gulay, head chef and Grub Club host extraordinaire, treated our members to the second instalment of her famous & experimental 101 meze series. After enjoying a champagne reception (well, Prosecco.) the food starting arriving and never stopped! With cold dishes ranging from delicious Kisir to healthy Mercimekli, and hot dishes such as trusty chicken and lovely Falafel, there was something delectable for all.
It was a great evening for everybody involved, with many members arriving as strangers but leaving as friends. It also proved to be a great opportunity for us to talk directly with you; the member. In fact, the longer the evening went on, the more frank and honest the feedback became… Although we’re not quite sure what caused this phenomenon, we know we enjoyed it and want to do it again!
Stoke Newington got their treat this month, but where will we be in September? We can guarantee the next venue is going to be something different… A meal on a boat? In a church? Or perhaps at the top of a clock tower? Who knows; though with Grub Club you can be assured that wherever the meal ends up, it will be one to remember.
Have you ever wondered who shares cars with you in your community? Want to talk directly to the Zipcar team? Then make sure you don’t miss the next instalment of ‘Unzip a Feast’ (coming soon).
